Words shine, words flow; sentences living together in peace, everything in its right place, supporting the burden of precision.
Darkness flows across the land as the lights go out; dryness flows across the land as the power drains away. Where are the fires, where are the stories that will keep us alive in the evenings when the spirits ride unchecked? Where are the stories crafted with bright light and pure water?

The stories are there. They are being told on the highways and byways of light that are the nerve centre of the land. The ancient roads have been monopolised by footpads and highwaymen. They guarded the portals in the darkness, denying passage to those beings of light who know that it only takes the 'yes' of a free human being to give them the magic key. But they have been rumbled: the beam of the lighthouse has illumined stretches of ancient track. The footpads' and highwaymen's cloaks of invisibility wither before the scrutiny of a wrathful God.
